6 PM – The House Brasserie
The Holidays are upon us. Soon we will be looking for ways to celebrate with our family and friends all that is good in life. This year we are hosting our Holiday Celebration at The House Brasserie. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that can accommodate a large group (with heaters) keeping in mind all the social distancing rules that are currently in effect.
The owner, Joe Ierace has put together a wonderful menu you can view here, which is paired with Italian imported wines by Classico Wines. Along with the celebration we wanted to do more, as there are many this year, perhaps more than usual, especially children that are not afforded the same opportunities as many of us.
So we ask that you bring an unwrapped gift for a child so that we can take these to CASS, Central Arizona Shelter Services who manage Vista Colina Emergency Family Shelter. Please read this through so you have an understanding of what they do for families in Arizona.
For the past 35 years, CASS has served the homeless population in the Valley. CASS has a Men’s & Woman Shelter. They work 24 hours a day,7 days a week, 365 days each year. Over the past year, Vista Colina Family Shelter housed over 660 families and over 420 children under 18 years of age. Each Christmas the shelter is 100% full. The children need our Christmas/Holiday gifts. Over the past 20 years, gifts have been important to the children as without support they would not have gifts. It is often the first time many of these homeless children receive a NEW gift, some of them, have never had a Christmas/Holiday gift.
Follow these links to read more about CASS and Vista Colina Emergency Shelter. Remember, an unwrapped gift for a child. we will collect these at the event.
Thank you for helping out. We hope to see you on December 15, 2020.
