Phoenix, here we come …

January 24, 2020 by Francesco

This is exciting! In just a few short weeks we will be celebrating the 7th edition of the Italian Festival.  We’ve come a long way since our first festival on the Southbridge on Scottsdale’s waterfront in Old Town Scottsdale.  In the first year, we barely broke 3000 attendees and learned a lot. That’s to say we also made quite a few mistakes.  But that’s how we learn, right?

This past February 2019, we had 10,000 friends come and celebrate with us along the waterfront. The entertainment was second to none. It was our best festival to date.

The question became, can we do better?

Our goal has always been to create an atmosphere that harbors true Italian culture and brings a sense of tradition to everything we do.   How do grow and maintain the integrity of the festival?

As a board we had our work cut out for us.  We needed help to do this right.

Enter, R-Entertainment. We decided to partner with the professionals. R-Entertainment is a large production company based in Scottsdale. They are responsible for some of the largest events held in the USA.  We pitched our ideas and we are happy to say, they loved them and bought into the idea of an Italian cultural experience. With their track record and our commitment to grow the festival, we had a winning combination.

How does this translate to what you can expect at the upcoming festival on March 14 & 15?

An overall better experience for all attendees. We have an incredible lineup of entertainers. displays, presentations, games, prizes, contests … Something for everyone.

  • I Sbandieratori del Palio di Asti
  • Steve Ansel and the Jackson Street Band
  • The Sicilian band

  • DJ- Paul Amendola (AZ native living in NY)
  • Galbani Celebrity Chef Marco Sciortino
