ITALIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES - SUMMER 2026

Dates: Tuesdays, June 9th - August 11th, 2026 (10 lessons)

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00pm

Location: Online via Zoom (link will be shared by the teacher a few days before the first class)

This class is for students with little or basic knowledge of Italian.

What to expect to learn:

  • 500 words

  • Use and understand basic phrases

  • Be able to introduce yourselves and others

  • Learn to ask and answer questions about familiar, personal details

  • Interact in a simple way, provided the other person talks slowly and clearly

REFUND POLICY:

Our refund policy is consistent with most other live, online language classes.
Cancellations during the first week of class is refunded 60% or the full amount is credited toward a future class.
No refunds issued after the first week.

TUITION for the 10-week program:

  •  $325.00 for non-members

  •  $290.00 for members of the Italian Association (email us for the discount code)

    Tuition does not include the cost of books or other class-related materials.

Zoom Netiquette

If you choose to attend class, your full participation is expected. This includes actively engaging in class activities, completing homework, maintaining a positive and curious attitude, and interacting kindly and meaningfully with your classmates.

For students attending via Zoom, please remember that even though you are joining from a private space, our virtual classroom remains a learning environment that must support focus and respect.

Below are simple but important reminders:

  • Your video camera must remain on at all times.

  • Your space should be quiet and free from distractions.

  • Your attire should be appropriate for a class setting.

  • Your cell phone should be silenced.

  • You should conduct yourself as you would in an in-person classroom.

  • Drinking water is allowed; eating is not. (Please avoid alcohol consumption during class.)

  • Class sessions or conversations may be recorded for course development. Recordings cannot be shared for privacy reasons.


Technology

  • Your internet connection must be reliable, and students are responsible for ensuring that they have reliable technology

  • Your webcam and microphone must be in good working order so that your audio and video can come through clearly for your classmates and the instructor.

  • During a class meeting, the instructor shares material on the screen. We recommend using a big screen and a headset and avoiding using smartphones.

Communication

All communication from and to the instructor is via email, provided at the enrollment time. Please, put in the subject line your course level.

Missing Class Support

Consistent attendance and participation are essential to progress in your journey to learning Italian. If you missed or plan to miss a class, please contact your instructor ASAP and request a summary of the material covered during the missed session. Upon request, the instructor provides summary video/audio/pdf materials, as applicable. Your instructor might be available for a brief one-on-one session if necessary and requested.

To improve your communication skills, we recommend getting in touch with your classmates to practice speaking.
